About the Role

As a QA Engineer II, you will support the Quality Assurance function for a team within our organization. We are looking for passionate and experienced QA Engineers who are enthusiastic and have brilliant testing ideas.

You will be responsible for reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. This includes working with the project team to provide Testing Estimates and holding test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.

Key responsibilities include executing and evaluating manual and/or automated test cases, reporting test results, holding bug triaging meetings with cross-functional team members, and participating in root cause analysis meetings.

To ensure that validated deliverables meet requirements, you will also contribute proactively in sprint ceremonies or any other ceremonies followed by the squad.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with a Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification, along with minimum 2.5 years and maximum 4 years of experience in QA. Holding ISTQB - CTFL certification is also desirable.

You should have a solid understanding of QA/Testing technology including SDLC, STLC, and Defect life cycle. Experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java is necessary.

Able to problem solve, multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. You should also be able to work independently with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, and importantly, a team player.

Knowledge and Experience

Strong practical knowledge and experience of testing methodologies; Agile, Kanban & Waterfall are required. Strong knowledge in development practices and processes including Unit Testing, integration, E2E, UAT, and UI testing techniques are necessary.

Able to generate test cases from requirements and have experience of defect management. Familiarity with testing mobile apps (Android, iOS) and web-based sites, testing different API methods, and distinguishing between error codes are must-haves.

Desirable Skills

Familiarity with test automation tools; Sofy, BDD, Maestro, JMeter, Postman, Rest-assured, and Selenium is desirable. Knowledge in CICD pipelines and deployment processes in a Cloud-based environment using tools like Jenkins and Bitrise is also beneficial.

Distributed version control systems including GIT are highly valued.
