Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and uptime of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, right-size nodes, and streamline upgrades to maintain high system performance.
  • Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, including reducing alert noise, building service level objectives (SLOs), and creating incident response playbooks to ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Secure ingress layers, implement service mesh, and combat abuse in our cloud systems to protect against potential threats.
  • Partner with engineers to migrate services and support CDC data layers to facilitate seamless integration and data exchange.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Bash and at least one additional language (PHP, Python, or Node.js) is required for scripting automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is necessary to meet our technical requirements.
  • Strong scripting skills are essential for automating tasks and implementing IaC principles.
  • Effective communication is crucial in a remote environment, using tools like Slack, Linear, and Loom asynchronously.
  • Flexibility in working hours within UTC-5 to UTC+3 is required for team overlap and collaboration.
