Job Summary

The role of a Jr. Accountant involves a range of financial management responsibilities, including payroll coordination, bank reconciliation, and tax compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounting processes, ensuring timely payment processing, accurate transaction recording, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly trial balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Supervise payroll cycles to guarantee timely payment processing, precise transaction recording, and coordination with banks and tax authorities.
  • Ensure all payments are correctly allocated to company assets and transferred to vendors' accounts in a timely manner.
  • Address queries raised by signatories on payments and monitor banking-related issues.
  • Prepare monthly schedules for correct and timely entry recording.
  • Liaise with tax consultants and lawyers on behalf of the company.
  • Coordinate daily with banks, prepare and check monthly bank reconciliations, and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Prepare journal vouchers, record necessary entries, and track unreconciled and reconciled revenues with bank MIS daily.
  • Prepare semiannual statements of comprehensive income and statements of financial position.
  • Perform journal entries according to established accounting standards and reconcile accounts, general ledger, and sub-ledger.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns from accounting records.
  • Perform month-end closing processes and reconcile bank statements.
  • Monitor and maintain petty cash records and submit expense reports for management approval.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • ACCA Certified or Equivalent
  • 2 Years Working Experience (Experience in Construction Company preferred)
