Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. As an SQA Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our software applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in designing and implementing test plans and test cases to ensure they are comprehensive and effective.
  • Perform hands-on manual and automated testing to identify defects and bugs.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify potential quality issues and suggest solutions.
  • Use Postman for HTTP REST API testing to ensure seamless integration.
  • Report and track defects discovered during testing, and work closely with developers to rectify these issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects to provide development teams with enough details to understand, replicate, and resolve the defect.
  • Provide input into improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing processes and activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 months to 2 years of work experience as a Software QA Engineer in the software development industry.
  • Proficient in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with various testing techniques such as UI testing, automated testing, regression testing, performance testing, functional testing, database testing (SQL), and integration testing.
  • Knowledge of Postman for REST API testing.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, etc.
  • Experience in JMeter.
