Senior Software Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging and recording COBOL programs in CICS/VSAM/JCL environment. You will also be required to understand design and requirements and develop custom application features and functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing COBOL programs in CICS/VSAM/JCL environment
  • Understanding design and requirements and developing custom application features and functions
  • Breaking down BRD into MVP's and stories
  • Creating estimates for small to medium size projects
  • Analyzing and developing code as per specifications
  • Following standards and controls to ensure quality of outcome
  • Supporting production deployment and post development implementation activities
  • Performing application support and participating in crisis calls for production incidents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in designing and developing COBOL programs in CICS/VSAM/JCL environment.
