About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to serve as Protection Community Mobilizers. As a key member of our team, you will work under the supervision of a Project Coordinator to perform tasks that promote community mobilization and protection.

Job Summary

  • Introduce our organization and its legal aid services project to marginalized and vulnerable communities.
  • Facilitate awareness-raising sessions on human rights, refugees' rights, and international protection.
  • Identify community needs and concerns through participatory methods.
  • Build trust and develop linkages with community leaders and influencers.
  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and awareness-raising sessions.
  • Mobilize and facilitate community-based volunteers' groups.
  • Promote social inclusion and peaceful coexistence between refugees and host communities.
  • Liaise with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure access to services.
  • Collect and document feedback to inform program development and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of community mobilization activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct field visits and surveys to implement project activities effectively.
  2. Submit regular reports to the supervisor.
  3. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

Education: A Bachelor or Master's degree in anthropology, sociology, social work, law, development studies, or gender studies is required.

Experience: Three years of community mobilization experience are required, while working experience with displaced Afghan nationals will be preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A thorough understanding of international refugee law and human rights laws.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information.
  • Cultural sensitivity and respect for the cultural dynamics of Afghan nationals.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills to represent refugees' rights.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities efficiently.
