Job Title: Income Tax Specialist

METRO has expanded its operations in Pakistan to meet the growing demand for wholesale services. The company operates a network of cash & carry wholesale centers across the country, providing customers with a wide range of products and services.

Job Description

As an Income Tax Specialist at METRO, you will be responsible for handling tax-related matters for the company. Your primary tasks will include calculating withholding tax deductions for goods and cost suppliers, preparing and depositing withholding tax into the government treasury, generating withholding tax certificates for suppliers, processing withholding tax deducted by customers, and ensuring proper adjustment in ledgers. You will also be responsible for maintaining records and processing payments for property tax, advertisement tax, and professional tax.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess sound knowledge of SAP and financial statements.
  • Calculate withholding tax deductions for goods and cost suppliers.
  • Prepare and deposit withholding tax into the government treasury.
  • Generate withholding tax certificates for suppliers (cost and goods).
  • Process withholding tax deducted by customers and ensure proper adjustment in ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly and annual withholding tax statements.
  • Maintain records and process payments for property tax, advertisement tax, and professional tax.
  • Perform income tax-related closing activities and entries in SAP.
  • Organize and maintain data in response to income tax notices.
