Procurement Manager Position

Description: This role oversees all aspects of procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of strategic procurement expertise, deep knowledge of procurement processes, and proven project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and vendor management.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.
  • Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with policies and ethical standards.
  • Develop and manage supplier performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Responsible for procurement reporting on KPIs and performance targets.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the procurement team.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and compliance issues.
  • Ensure all procurement-related activities adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines.

SAP Implementation and Optimization (Procurement Focus):

  • Lead and actively participate in the implementation of SAP modules relevant to procurement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for procurement processes within the SAP environment.
  • Map current procurement processes to SAP functionalities, identify gaps, and propose solutions for optimization and automation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within SAP procurement modules post-implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in procurement with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrable experience with SAP procurement modules is essential.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent negotiations, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
