Product Specialist - Card Portfolio Management

As a Product Specialist in Card Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for delivering new products and strategies to market efficiently. You will partner with clients to drive measurable value by executing complex technology implementations and transformation programs.

This role requires experience in delivering large, complex projects/programs in a cross-functional environment. You should have domain knowledge of the payments industry and hands-on program management experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing portfolio growth and customer engagement throughout the lifecycle of a card customer
  • Ensuring balanced growth addressing credit, operations, compliance, and service delivery risks
  • Designing and developing best-in-class portfolio programs based on local needs and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team
  • Managing the delivery of regulatory changes seamlessly and cost-effectively

You will work closely with stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to deliver excellent client experiences.

The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of relevant experience in cards product management, regional experience preferred (e.g., GCC), and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Fluency in English is required, and other languages desirable. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge of project management tools are also necessary.

This role will support the development and implementation of strategies to grow the credit card portfolio in line with business targets. You will collaborate with marketing and analytics teams on customer segmentation to promote usage among existing customers.

Additionally, you will assist in developing consumer product strategies and value propositions aligned with customer needs and market trends. You will provide guidance on product performance and lead development based on market trends.

This is an execution-oriented role that requires strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills. The ability to handle multiple priorities independently and perform cost/benefit/risk analyses is essential. Leadership and team development skills are also necessary.

In this role, you will ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. You will develop strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities to support Mastercard solutions.

Your Education & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in cards product management
  • Regional experience preferred (e.g., GCC)
  • Fluent in English; other languages desirable
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of project management tools preferred
