Job Description

As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the organization's project portfolio forward. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the organization's projects, ensuring they align with strategic goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO). You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address project issues.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Prioritization: Collaborate with senior management to prioritize projects based on their potential impact and resource availability.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate and optimize resources across projects to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular reports on portfolio performance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Interpersonal and stakeholder management expertise.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Identifying and addressing project issues.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Software: Experience with tools such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project.
  • Knowledge of Portfolio Management Principles: Understanding of portfolio management best practices.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: Guiding project teams towards success.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Identifying and mitigating project risks.
