  • This position is responsible for overseeing a range of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with national and local EHS laws and regulations.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with site-based teams to establish, implement, and maintain safe working practices within office premises.
  • Key responsibilities include policy and procedure management, legal compliance, health, safety, and welfare, risk assessment, incident management, safety inspections, emergency response, training, reporting, documentation, and health and hygiene.
  • A strong background in EHS engineering or a related field is essential, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must possess a recognized degree in Environmental/Safety Engineering or an equivalent engineering stream, or a Master's/Diploma in industrial safety/industrial hygiene along with a regular engineering degree.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a corporate/manufacturing/service industry plant EH&S coordination level.
  • Familiarity with accident investigation and prevention, applied ergonomics expertise, and in-depth understanding of Indian regulations.
  • Prior experience in a corporate setup is an added advantage.
  • Team building and relationship building skills to establish relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Result-oriented with a sense of urgency to follow up on corrective measures and drive the right issues.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for conducting training, facilitating team meetings, updating on safety-related issues, and providing relevant reports.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in applications such as Excel, databases, Word, and web-based systems.
