About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students and community members.

Mission 1: Mental Health Support

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health support services, including individual counselling and group sessions. You will work closely with education staff, community workers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.

  • Develop and facilitate MHPSS group sessions for students, addressing common psychological and emotional challenges.
  • Incorporate elements of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into group sessions to build resilience and improve emotional regulation.
  • Ensure that all sessions are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and aligned with the educational and psychosocial needs of students.
  • Provide individual counselling to students and community members who are experiencing psychological distress.
  • Assess and identify extreme cases requiring specialized support, connecting them to appropriate services.
  • Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and ensure follow-up care for referred individuals.
  • Apply a person-centred approach, adhering to HI's principles of confidentiality, do no harm, and PSEAH.
Mission 2: Community Awareness and Trainings

You will play a key role in raising awareness about mental health and psychosocial support within the community. This includes conducting awareness sessions, workshops, and events to reduce stigma around mental health issues and promote healthy coping strategies.

  • Conduct trainings, learning sessions, and seminars with beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders as identified.
  • Maintain follow-up of learning, feedback, and new areas identified.
Mission 3: Documentation & Data Reporting

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of all MHPSS activities, including group sessions, individual counselling, referrals, and community awareness. This will involve providing regular reports on progress, challenges, and outcomes of MHPSS activities to the line supervisor and MEAL team.

This involves collaborating with school leaders, community workers, and PTCs to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing, including family and community involvement in MHPSS activities.
