Job Title: Strategic Data ArchitectWe are seeking a seasoned data professional to design and deliver scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions on AWS.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance data systems on AWS across the full data lifecycle.
  • Lead end-to-end database migration projects from on-premises or legacy systems to AWS-managed services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB) with minimal downtime and data integrity assurance.
  • Build, automate, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Data Pipeline).
  • Implement automated workflows with tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect, and AWS Step Functions to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Apply DevOps principles to data projects: CI/CD for pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), monitoring, and automated testing.
  • Design and manage secure, cost-effective AWS environments with an emphasis on compliance, performance, and cost optimization.

Requirements
  • Data Engineering Expertise:
    • Proven experience designing and automating ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions).
    • Hands-on experience in database migration, schema conversion, and performance tuning.
  • DevOps Practices:
    • CI/CD for data pipelines, containerization (Docker), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Cloud & Security:
    • Ability to build secure, scalable, cost-effective AWS architectures following best practices.
  • Data Governance & Quality:
    • Familiarity with data cataloging, lineage, and quality frameworks.
  • Client-Facing Skills:
    • Strong communication skills with experience in requirement gathering and delivering client-centric solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or Prefect for orchestration.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty).
  • Knowledge of relational & NoSQL databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch).
