Job Title: Account Officer

Job Description:

We are currently undergoing rapid growth and expansion of our team. To support this growth, we are seeking a talented professional to assist the Finance Manager in various administrative and financial tasks.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and Finance/Commerce, with a minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field from well-reputed organizations. Knowledge of accounting and finance is essential, as the candidate will be assisting the Finance Manager in implementing company finance policies, performance evaluations of admin staff, maintaining books of accounts, and other related administrative/financial functions.

The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the organization maintain awareness of its financial condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in formulating and implementing administrative and financial policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance appraisals of personnel and probation completion sessions related to the administrative department under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues or grievances among team members or personnel of the administrative staff under the guidance of the Finance Manager.
  • Manage and supervise all resources and functions of the department related to finance, as assigned by the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare reports and analysis based on data provided by the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare cash book and bank book records under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing salaries and monthly/yearly closings.
  • Review expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned by the Finance Manager.
  • Communicate daily with bank personnel on behalf of the Finance Manager.
  • Supervise and manage day-to-day office administrative activities, including ensuring fair usage of organizational assets, code of ethics, and company policies.
  • Ensure quality work of office staff with regards to finance, under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
  • Oversee security staff and ensure the safety of office stock and assets.
  • Handle external affairs of the organization, including purchasing daily routine supplies.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be a business graduate in finance or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Must have knowledge about QuickBooks/bookkeeping & double entry.
  • Must have a good academic and conceptual understanding of finance functions, concepts, and theories.
  • Must have some proven professional working experience in finance skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with other teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-learner and self-starter.
  • Utilize time effectively and efficiently.
