Compliance Assurance Officer Job Description

Position Summary:

The Compliance Assurance Officer provides support to the Assistant Manager of the Post Assurance Unit in fulfilling its core responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Assurance work on AML Transaction Monitoring, Investigations, and other Financial Crime Prevention controls and actions.
  • Independently execute testing activities to assess control design and effectiveness.
  • Identify and evaluate new typologies indicative of money laundering/terrorist financing activities through bulk data analysis.
  • Conduct quality assurance work on escalations management, regulatory reporting, third-party data requests, transaction alerts, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Report suspicious activities to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and local Financial Intelligence Unit in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Capacity to analyze complex situations and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data and recognizing patterns to support decision-making processes.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
