This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in a laboratory setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics laboratory at the undergraduate and graduate level. Key accountabilities include:

  • Supervising and demonstrating laboratory experiments to undergraduate and graduate students;
  • Designing and developing new experiments for undergraduate and graduate level molecular cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics laboratory;
  • Developing protocols and laboratory manuals for newly designed experiments;
  • Managing laboratory equipment and consumables, writing reports, and performing other day-to-day teaching assignments;
  • Facilitating undergraduate and graduate students in senior projects and thesis research;
  • Performing research projects under the guidance of the supervisor.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology from a recognized university with 1-2 years of experience; OR MS in Bioinformatics/Computer Science/Biology;
  • Must have worked on an independent research project in BS/MS;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
