Job Title: Remote Crisis Support Specialist

This role involves working in a crisis intervention contact center, providing emotional support and resources to individuals in need. As a specialist, you will be trained to handle a variety of calls, including crisis situations, and provide callers with free, confidential short-term support.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure. You will also be required to attend training sessions and complete online reports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing crisis intervention and emotional support to callers
  • Answering inquiries via phone, text, and chat
  • Understanding and following established procedures and best practices
  • Employing active listening techniques to assist callers in de-escalating from mental health issues/concerns

Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to submit online reports and utilize internal search databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with callers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary support to callers

Additional requirements include a reliable laptop/computer with secure and private wifi internet connection, as well as the ability to troubleshoot minor tech issues.
