Job Description

The Assistant Manager Finance role is responsible for overseeing all financial functions within the organization. Key duties include administrative and financial tasks such as invoicing, drafting budgets, issuing purchase orders, and supervising procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Execution: Develop and execute financial plans to ensure the organization's financial stability.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Draft and manage budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and regulatory reports.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization's assets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and achievement of short and long-term objectives.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain: Develop and implement procurement processes and approve purchase orders to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of financial management obligations, including statutory requirements. You should also possess analytical thinking, investigative, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

This position requires a qualified ACCA and accreditation from the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). Additionally, 2-3 years of experience in a senior financial role is preferred.
