Job Title: Experienced Engineering Draftsman

The Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering draftsman to join our team. As a senior member of the drafting team, you will be responsible for managing drafting projects independently and leading teams of draftsmen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the complete range of drafting, detailing, and other related duties to produce accurate drawings.
  • Utilize assigned software for 2D drafting or generate drawings under general instructions from designated supervisors.
  • Perform quality checking (QC) on drawings/3D models generated by other team members.
  • Prepare reports as required to document the quality checking process.
  • Approve drawings to customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain files and data in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of project management concepts, including scheduling jobs and estimating job times. You should also possess thorough knowledge of drafting techniques and principles, as well as the ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all technical specifications and requirements are met. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve project goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires a minimum of 02 years' diploma or DAE Mechanical experience. You should have expertise in CAD software, such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Pro/E, and any other relevant tools. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering materials, as well as knowledge of local engineering companies/mechanical workshops.

  • Expert-level ability to lead projects from concept to final completion.
  • Ability to create detailed machine drawings and fabrication drawings in designated software.
  • Ability to generate Bills of Materials (BOM) as material take-offs for manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of visual management standards and compliance.

  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
