Trade Finance Operations Manager

The Trade Finance Specialist will play a key role in coordinating with local and foreign banks to monitor incoming Letters of Credit (L/Cs). This involves ensuring timely payment for export bills, accurate documentation compliance, and seamless communication with advising banks.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with local and foreign banks to monitor incoming L/Cs and ensure all documents sent are compliant.
- Liaise with advising banks regarding L/C confirmation and take necessary actions to expedite payments.
- Prepare export documentation, including negotiation and collection processes, to ensure smooth transactions.
- Monitor incoming funds received for export bills and instruct the negotiating/collecting banks to take necessary actions if payments are not received upon maturity.
- Handle Import Documentary Collections by managing trade finance operations efficiently.
- Prepare bank correspondence on matters pertaining to confirmation, acceptance or rejection of L/Cs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field is essential for this role.
- Solid experience in banking or commodity trading with middle office experience is required for this position.
- Firsthand knowledge and experience of documentary credit, with proven ability to issue and receive Letter of Credits, is crucial for success.
