Water Quality Analyst Job Description

Job Title: Water Quality Analyst

Category: Environmental Science, Chemistry, Microbiology

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct field visits to collect water samples from wells, taps, RO plants, water tanks, and surface water sources.
  2. Perform on-site water quality testing using portable water testing kits and digital instruments (pH, TDS, turbidity, etc.).
  3. Ensure proper sample preservation, labeling, and transportation to the laboratory if additional analysis is needed.
  4. Maintain detailed records of sample locations, test results, and environmental observations.
  5. Calibrate and maintain field testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
  6. Record and report any deviations or signs of contamination or pollution.
  7. Work closely with the central laboratory or water quality supervisor to analyze results and propose corrective actions.
  8. Educate local stakeholders or community members on water safety practices if required.
Requirements:
  1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
  2. 1-2 years of field experience in water quality monitoring or environmental testing preferred.
  3. Familiarity with water testing tools and sampling techniques.
  4. Ability to work in remote or rural areas with minimal supervision.
  5. Basic knowledge of water safety standards (e.g., WHO, local water standards).
  6. Good reporting and data entry skills.
  7. Motorcycle riding license (if field travel is required).
