Duties of a Junior Accountant

We are looking for an accomplished professional to fill the role of Junior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional accounting and operational services to our clients.
  • Support client onboarding process for all assigned client engagements in accordance with defined process.
  • Compile and organize data provided by clients, such as invoices, receipts, and bank statements
  • Record financial transactions and post the appropriate journal entries within accounting system
  • Reconcile accounts on time and recommend, and implement actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Make adjusting entries where necessary and as advised by managing accountant
  • Comply with accounting standards and ethics
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related field with strong academic performance
  • Prior use of accounting software (preferred)
  • Communication in English (will be written and verbal test)

This is a dynamic and growing position based in Lahore, Pakistan, working with small and medium businesses and start-ups in North America. We take bookkeeping, accounting and financial operational support functions off their plates allowing them to focus on business development and making decisions faster.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities. They will also be detail-oriented, proactive and able to work effectively in a team environment.
