This role requires a skilled translator and interpreter to perform oral interpretation and written translation from Arabic to English or vice versa.

Main Responsibilities
  • Translate various documents from/to Arabic to English as requested, including government documents, letters, reports, etc.
  • Interpret discussions, medical interviews, education sessions, lectures, meetings, etc., as directed, to ensure clear understanding between parties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all translations and interpretive tasks, adhering to the Project coordination team's guidelines.
  • Ensure neutrality and accuracy when interpreting/translating, asking for clarification or elaboration as needed.
Requirements
  • A degree in translation/linguistics (English language) is essential for this position.
  • Prior work experience as an interpreter/translator is required.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic skills are necessary.
  • Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express, are expected.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
Additional Requirements
  • Pashto and Dari language skills are mandatory.
