Job Title: Early Childhood Development Research Associate

Location: Karachi

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our research team as an Early Childhood Development Research Associate. This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position.

Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the academic department of the University to support wide range of in-patient and outpatient care services pertinent to general obstetrics and gynaecology, including lactation consultancy, family planning and parenting education. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and conducting training, collecting, cleaning, and analysing qualitative and quantitative data, writing research reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance in research activities, reviewing and developing early childhood development (ECD) content where applicable or assigned, and showing willingness to work on weekends and outside regular office hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the principal investigators.
  • Assist in designing and conducting training programs for healthcare professionals and community workers.
  • Collect, clean, and analyse qualitative and quantitative data related to ECD.
  • Write research reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals to secure funding for future projects.
  • Ensure ethical and regulatory compliance in research activities.
  • Review and develop ECD content where applicable or assigned.
  • Show willingness to work on weekends and outside regular office hours.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution.
  • At least one year of experience working in early childhood development (ECD), preferably.
  • Completed ECD newborn educator training.
  • Clinical experience.
  • Proficiency in Google data management tools.
  • Working knowledge of Canva.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Strong communication skills.
