Resident Medical Officer Job

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Resident Medical Officer to join our team in the Department of Anaesthesiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preoperative assessments of patients visiting the preoperative anaesthesia clinic.
  • Assess patients visiting the pain clinic and develop initial management plans.

Operating Room:

  • Prepare theatres for scheduled surgery.
  • Develop anaesthesia management plans.
  • Administer anaesthesia according to assigned privileges.
  • Manage patients in PACU.

Wards:

  • Perform preoperative and postoperative rounds.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds with the acute and chronic pain management team.

ICU:

  • Perform initial assessments and develop initial management plans.
  • Conduct daily rounds with the ICU consultant.
  • Manage patients under the supervision of the consultant.

Provide anaesthesia services under supervision of consultants in:

  • Labour room suite for painless delivery.
  • Radiology suite for various radiological procedures.
  • Psychiatry wards for ECT therapy.

On-call:

  • Be available on premises when on-call.
  • Handover charge from the outgoing team.
  • Attend patient-related issues and counsel when on-call.
  • Communicate patient's clinical status with instructors and consultants.

Requirements:

  • Valid PMDC registration.
