Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Deputy Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be an Engineering Graduate in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Petroleum or Electronics with a minimum of six years' post-qualification experience, preferably in Oil and Gas or the Public Sector.

Candidates holding a Master's degree will have a distinct advantage.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Planning: Conduct thorough reviews of operational requirements for Measurement-Transmission functions to optimize equipment and spares inventory.
  • Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement process for materials and services, ensuring efficiency and transparency.
  • PPRA Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules in all procurement-related activities.
  • Critical Spare Management: Identify and maintain critical spares for equipment in stock to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Market Monitoring: Continuously monitor market developments, technologies, and price trends for equipment used in Measurement-Transmission functions and take necessary measures.
  • Budget Development: Provide suggestions for CAPEX and REVEX budget development, considering consumption patterns and operational objectives.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Maintain close liaison with the Procurement department and vendors to expedite procurement activities.
  • Budget Arrangement and Utilization: Oversee all matters related to budget arrangement and its utilization.
  • Technical Specification Development: Develop technical specification documents for equipment, materials, and other procurements.
  • Tender Evaluation: Undertake technical evaluation of bids according to stipulated evaluation criteria and ensure transparency in the process.
