Senior Backend Developer Position

We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to lead our team in developing cutting-edge web applications from scratch. As a seasoned professional, you will have 7+ years of experience in web development with a strong background in modern JavaScript frameworks, client and server-side technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Scalable Architecture: Develop scalable, maintainable, and secure server/serverless hybrid architecture using Supabase, Strapi, ReactJS, NextJS, NestJS.
  • Lead Development Team: Lead and mentor a high-performing agile development team, fostering collaboration and technical growth.
  • Build Full-Stack Applications: Build and maintain full-stack applications using React.js, Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript.
  • Implement Real-Time Features: Architect and integrate real-time and event-driven features using Supabase's native capabilities (auth, edge functions, real-time DB, vector DB).
  • Develop User Interfaces: Use Tailwind CSS, MUI, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript to create modern, accessible user interfaces.
  • Ensure Type Safety: Employ tRPC and Zod for end-to-end type safety across the stack.
  • Scale LLM-Powered Apps: Implement and scale LLM-powered apps and RAG pipelines.
  • Monitor Application Performance: Monitor and enhance application performance using Datadog and Sentry.
  • Integrate External Services: Integrate external services such as Stripe APIs, Amazon APIs, emailing platforms, Google Auth, and Analytics APIs.
  • Implement DevOps Practices: Implement DevOps best practices with CI/CD pipelines and shell scripting for automation.
  • Manage Version Control: Manage version control using Git and Bitbucket, ensuring collaborative and high-quality code delivery.
  • Apply Architectural Principles: Apply architectural principles such as MVVM and clean architecture to enhance codebase maintainability and testing.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in web development with a strong background in modern JavaScript frameworks, client and server-side technologies.
  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in leading high-performance development teams and managing product development lifecycles.
  • Tech Stack: Expertise in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, MUI, Tailwind, HTML, and CSS.
  • Supabase Experience: Experience with Supabase, backend as a service, and serverless architecture principles.
  • Serverless Experience: Experience building serverless and edge-function-based apps with Vercel or Cloudflare Workers.
  • Familiarity with Self-Hosted Services: Familiarity with self-hosted services (e.g., DigitalOcean droplets).
  • LLM Integration: Hands-on experience with LLM integration, RAG pipelines, and AI toolchains.
  • API Integration: Strong background in API integration and third-party services (Amazon, Google, email, analytics).
  • DevOps Knowledge: Excellent DevOps knowledge (CI/CD, shell scripting, infrastructure as code).
  • Architectural Principles: Solid understanding of MVVM, clean architecture, and testing methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating scalable, reliable software.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
