As a Senior Backend Developer at PakWheels.com, you'll play a key role in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems that drive our platform's growth. You'll work with an agile, cross-functional team of developers. Your expertise in backend technologies, distributed systems, and cloud platforms will help shape the future of PakWheels.com.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with several cross-functional teams to design and document scalable solutions.
  2. Write secure, maintainable code that powers the platform that provides real-time visibility into the company's assets.
  3. Build and make scalable design choices for API interfaces to work across internal and external applications and services.
  4. Build appropriate monitoring, logging, and debugging for the health of the system.
  5. Actively work on our AWS cloud infrastructure.
  6. Mentor and learn from the developers within the engineering organization.

Qualifications:

  1. B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
  2. 4+ years software development experience.
  3. An affinity for creating software that is extensible, performant, and easy to read.
  4. Experience building product infrastructure, distributed systems, and data models.
  5. Experience in Ruby on Rails, Go Lang, Java, or similar language.
  6. Solid understanding of relational databases, preferably Postgres or MySQL.
  7. Experience building for Cloud Infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds.
