Job Title: Computer Network Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Setup: Set up all new hardware, systems, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices.
  • Software Troubleshooting: Responsible for software installation and troubleshooting on workstations.
  • Network Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
  • New System Implementation: Prepare new computer or computer reinstallation.
  • Server Administration: Supports administration of servers.
  • Cybersecurity: May require to work on VoIP server and other security systems as needed.
  • Data Backup: Manages all system backup and restore protocol.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
  • On-call Support: Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Documentation: Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
  • Technical Assistance: Perform on-site and remote technical assistance.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
  • Resource Management: Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • User Account Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, email, Antivirus, Anti-Spam.
  • Device Configuration: Manage basic configuration of routers, Firewalls, and other security devices if needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Must have at least 3 - 4 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Must have good technical knowledge of Microsoft Networking environment.
  • User Understanding: Flexible to understand user problems.
  • Learning Ability: Capable of learning new software solutions / tools.
  • Cloud Computing: A background in Exchange 2016/2019 messaging system and cloud computing, Microsoft 365.
  • Network Security: Knowledge of network security.
  • Threat Protection: Knowledge of Virus and Spam threats and protections measures.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills.
  • Presentation Skills: Sound presentation skills.
  • Quality Awareness: Quality and Safety Awareness.
  • Educational Background: BCS/ BIT/ BSc.
