Software Development Leader

We are seeking a seasoned software development leader to drive our project initiatives and deliver on the company vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects in PHP and open source applications, ensuring teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively.
  2. Track and report the status of projects on various teams, acting as a gateway through which work should be assigned to appropriate teams.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to optimum performance levels and career development.
  4. Oversee the evolution of existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of coding in VB, .NET, ASP, PHP, etc.
  • Familiarity with databases and DBMSs like MYSQL, MSSQL Server 2002 AND SERIES, MS Access etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years management/leadership experience in software development organization required.
  • At least 1 year experience working through design, development, release cycle delivering software to market.
  • Large/enterprise application development experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software development cycle.
  • Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in computer programming using Visual Basic or other open source web application frameworks.
  • Project management experience desired.
  • Able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management, and building/engineering great teams.
