Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Officer to join our team. As an Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing information security policies and procedures. This includes conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, monitoring and responding to security incidents and breaches, managing and maintaining security tools and technologies, and collaborating with IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, as well as experience with security tools and technologies. You will also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.

This is a full-time position that requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2+ years of experience in information security or a related role. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be able to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and trends, and to assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. You will also conduct security audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in information security or a related role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
- Ability to perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
