We are currently seeking a Chartered Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for filing Statutory and/or Tax Accounts, ensuring that financial records are well maintained and balanced, and managing tax obligations.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning: Preparing financial statements, business plans, and budget reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Audit and Compliance: Collaborating with internal or external auditors and addressing any financial irregularities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Tax Advisory: Advising on tax planning and tax issues, and managing the filing of tax returns to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Accounting Processes: Overseeing accounting processes and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Ensuring compliance with UK regulations, including those related to tax and finance.
  • Financial Reporting: Creating and presenting monthly financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Reviewing company systems and analyzing risk to identify areas for improvement.
  • Financial Advice: Providing financial advice to support business growth and development.
  • Fraud Prevention: Detecting and preventing fraud through regular audits and monitoring.
  • Internal Audit: Producing reports and recommendations following internal audits to inform business improvements.
Requirements:
  • Business Acumen: General business interest and awareness, including knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: IT proficiency and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex financial data.
  • Negotiation and Decision Making: Strong negotiation and decision-making skills to drive business outcomes.
  • Strategic Planning: Strategic planning skills to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Numeracy: Strong numeracy skills to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Qualifications: B. Com/ BSc/ M. Com /MBA/ MSc in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Certifications: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA).
  • Experience: Experience in a UK-based firm is essential, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
