Assistant Fashion Design Specialist

A dynamic and innovative fashion company is seeking a talented Assistant Fashion Design Specialist to join its team in the research and production of cutting-edge clothing lines that align with current market trends.

  • The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for fashion and a passion for creative expression, with the ability to travel to fashion events, analyze market data, and identify emerging fashion trends.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of skilled designers and marketers to translate these trends into captivating clothing products that resonate with customers. The role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase creativity and contribute to the success of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed drawings or digital renderings of outfits for client approval.
  • Communicate effectively with department heads to ensure all demands are met.
  • Coordinate fittings between designers and customers to guarantee satisfaction with fit, style, and fabric quality.
  • Manage customer information by tracking purchases and fashion trends to provide relevant advice.
  • Discuss clients' design requirements with fashion designers to gather expert advice.
  • Work closely with current and new clients on new ideas, concepts, and designs.
  • Assist in creating mood and trend boards for reference purposes.
  • Conduct thorough market trend research to determine competitive opportunities.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts, or equivalent qualification in fashion design.
  • 3-5 years of experience in design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Possess pattern and cutting knowledge (Sketch and technical skills).
  • Excellent design and conceptual abilities.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Eastern and Western styles.
  • Familiarity with custom accessories.
