Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in reviewing structure design drawings and specifications, as well as experience with project timelines and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Review: Ensure that the design structure is safe in all aspects, incorporating soil reports from investigation tests and consultant recommendations.
  • Design Details: Prepare detailed design specifications required for structure design drawings during project preparation.
  • Civil/Structure B.O.Q Items: Review civil and structural bill of quantities items.
  • Structural Package Management: Manage structural packages with design consultants to achieve project goals.
  • Site Visits and Reporting: Report highlighted structural issues on site visits and provide proposed solutions, support, and recommendations to project managers.
  • Project Specifications and Design: Review project specifications and design requirements.
  • Design Consultant Meetings: Meet with design consultants to discuss technical aspects or changes in design.
  • Structural Design Coordination: Manage structural design coordination with the technical office team to ensure no conflicts occur.
  • Working Drawings and Construction Drawings: Manage development of working and construction drawings with design consultants.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solve for any site-related issues with the project team.
  • Discipline Coordination: Coordinate with different disciplines like MEP, electrical department, etc.
  • Calculation/Evaluation: Perform calculations involved in structural design.
Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

A professionally qualified engineer with solid experience in design, construction, and planning of buildings and infrastructure works.

Excellent knowledge of international codes like ACI, IBC/UBC, ASCE, AISC, etc.

Familiarity with software like ETABS, SAFE, SAP, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, MS Office, etc.

Solid experience in site execution and management of projects.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Exposed to local and international projects.

Registered as a member of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Experience:

10-15 years of relevant experience.
