Captioner Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Captioner Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to transcribe audio and video files into text format with high accuracy.

  • Transcribing audio and video files into text format
  • Maintaining the accuracy of the source file throughout the transcription process
  • Understanding both intelligent and verbatim modes of transcription
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest transcription trends and methods through training
  • Following client guidelines and formatting instructions
  • Ensuring the quality of the final product
  • Completing and submitting files within the allocated time per file
Key Requirements & Skills:
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand British, Scottish, and Welsh accents
  • Knowledge of transcribing software (e.g., Otter AI)
  • Ability to cope with large volumes of work
  • Enhanced ability to listen
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (50-55 words per minute preferred)
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and other software tools
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
Location & Work Environment:

This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
