Job Title:
MRI Technologist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a highly skilled MRI Technologist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance device.

Main Responsibilities:
* Prepares patients for MRI scans by positioning and setting imaging parameters.
* Selects appropriate imaging protocols for patient studies and performs quality assurance scans as required.
* Demonstrates ability to work cohesively as a team member within the MRI Department and collaborate with MR physicist at the A.A. Martinos Center to test and troubleshoot pulse sequences.

Requirements:
* Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging required.
* 1-2 years of experience as an MRI Tech working with multiple patient populations required.
* Must have strong computer skills and a working knowledge of MR physics.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to work with staff who have various degrees of medical and technical experience.

Working Conditions:
The MRI environment involves exposure to magnetic fields for which risks are not yet established, and possible exposure to liquid or gas in the event of a system quench. You must be able to lift and transfer patients to stretchers and MRI coils, as well as stand for long periods of time.
