We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to optimize and manage our cloud environment.

Job Summary:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of cloud services, ensuring efficient utilization.

The successful candidate will work closely with our cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Cost Management:
  • Implement and adhere to best practices for cloud cost optimization
  • Security Integration:
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate security best practices into the cloud environment
  • Audit and Compliance:
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security guidelines
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain efficient reporting mechanisms for cloud-related metrics and KPIs
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Perform in-depth analysis of cloud usage, costs, and security incidents
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize cloud performance, cost efficiency, and security
  • Scalability and Security:
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design scalable and secure cloud solutions
  • Implementation and Monitoring:
  • Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address performance issues
  • Sustainability:
  • Continuously optimize cloud resources to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of cloud operations experience
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong quantitative data analysis skills; technical understanding of AWS service offerings; proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Understanding of security processes, controls, and tools
  • Cloud Platforms:
  • Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Containerization and Orchestration:
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Infrastructure as Code:
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Networking and Security:
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment
