Job Summary:
The position entails executing business development activities; networking with current and prospective clients, cultivating relationships, enhancing client experience, and ultimately identifying new business opportunities. Ensuring the satisfaction of walk-in customers. In essence, a retail manager's role is to successfully operate a showroom by handling a wide range of activities including sales, business development, stock & management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality products.
  2. Tour the sales floor regularly, interacting with colleagues and customers, and addressing or resolving urgent issues.
  3. Responsible for maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets.
  4. Create promotional materials and displays.
  5. Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales, interpreting trends to facilitate planning.
  6. Raise awareness about the company among existing customers and develop a new customer base.
  7. Initiate changes to improve the business, e.g., revising opening hours in consultation with Manager HR & Admin to ensure the showroom can effectively compete in the market.
  8. Address customer queries and complaints and take necessary actions.
  9. Oversight of pricing and stock control.
  10. Maintain statistical and financial records.
  11. Complete special projects as required by the General Manager BD.
  12. Address staffing issues in consultation with Manager HR & Admin, such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing training and development.
  13. Evaluate standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety.
  14. Organize special promotions, displays, and events.
  15. Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
  16. Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and enhance efficiency.
  17. Control and monitor all operational activities of the showroom including, but not limited to, general management, cleanliness, repair/maintenance, etc.
