Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Specialist to lead the design, development, and optimization of our enterprise data platforms. This individual will be instrumental in shaping our modern data architecture and ensuring high performance, scalability, and strong data governance across analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage data models (star and snowflake schemas) for reporting in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Create data models utilizing Power Query (M language) and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dataflows to ingest, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis.
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions for data extraction and transformation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports.
  • Maintain and optimize existing BI solutions and Queries.
  • Build and optimize semantic data models in Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, performance optimization, and reusability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to deliver effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and performance.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests from various departments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with developing reports using multiple Business Intelligence applications/SQL/Reporting/adhoc business reporting.
  • Expertise in designing and managing Power BI dataflows and data models.
  • Proficiency in writing complex DAX calculations and optimizing performance.
  • Strong documentation and best practices skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
