We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of tax principles, proficiency in bookkeeping, and expertise in UK VAT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requesting required paperwork/records from clients.
  • Bookkeeping for a variety of clients using accounting software (VT, Sage, QB etc.).
  • Preparation of VAT returns for Ltd companies/Sole traders.
  • Reconciling various control accounts, such as bank accounts, sales ledgers, purchase ledgers, etc.
  • Addressing any queries with a client that arise during the bookkeeping.
  • Organising workload to ensure strict deadlines are met.
  • Communicating with HMRC VAT office when required.
  • Assisting senior accountants.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year's experience working with a UK based accounting firm.
  • Must have UK tax and accounts knowledge; individuals with relevant experience ONLY are eligible to apply.
  • Must have knowledge of all UK VAT schemes.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products including One Drive.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software especially VT.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
