Unlocking Career Growth as a Software Engineering Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Director to lead our complex projects and programs.
This role requires strong technical expertise in software engineering, including COBOL programming, design and development skills, as well as communication and collaboration skills.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Lead complex projects and programs as SME Lead.
- Code, test, debug, and record COBOL programs in CICS/VSAM/JCL environment.
- Understand design and requirements, develop, and execute custom application features and functions.
- Collaborate with architects, solution analysts, SMEs from various teams to drive the right solution and outcome.
- Estimate medium to large-sized projects and create high-level designs.
- Analyze and develop code as per specifications, conduct project reviews for design, code, and unit test results.
- Follow standards and controls to ensure quality of outcome.
- Deploy and manage production deployment, provide application production support.
- Participate in crisis calls for production incidents and identify system performance improvements.
Requirements:
- Complex projects and program experience.
- COBOL programming knowledge.
- Design and development skills.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- Project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with CICS, VSAM, JCL, and COBOL.
- Agile methodologies and SDLC.
