Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Ophthalmic Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during eye surgeries and procedures, ensuring that all necessary preparations are made and that the operating theatre is equipped with the latest technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during eye surgeries and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by taking vital signs, conducting pre-operative assessments, and gathering relevant medical information.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as microscopes and surgical instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient data and surgical procedures.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and reassurance throughout the treatment process.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in an ophthalmology department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, surgeons, and other medical professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • A clean driving license and reliable transportation (not applicable for remote roles).
