Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior software engineer to join our team. As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for developing server applications, including writing restful APIs for client consumption.

You will ensure that the functionality, security, and performance of server applications meet design specifications and are bug-free.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements to estimate task complexity.
  • Write high-quality code with accompanying unit tests.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
  • Enhance code security and performance through continuous tuning.
  • Maintain systems by resolving existing issues and updating issue tracking software.
  • Provide regular status updates and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Manage version control and research new technologies to stay up-to-date.
  • Lead a team of software engineers, mentor junior colleagues, and evaluate candidates for open positions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in related industries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript technologies, including knowledge of NodeJS and its frameworks (ExpressJS, NestJS).
  • Experience in writing backend components and restful APIs, as well as understanding security standards and compliance.
  • Knowledge of various databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and ability to create database structures for specific functionalities.
  • Expertise in writing unit tests to achieve a minimum test coverage of 90%.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (GitHub, JIRA) and fundamental concepts/design principles.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies and a flexible attitude.
  • Strong presentation and leadership skills, with influence among team members.
