Life Sciences Research Assistant

">Research Technician I is a full-time position at a leading research institution that serves to assist Principal Investigators in a laboratory environment. The principal duties involve assisting in experiments for research projects under the supervision of the project head and senior researchers. Work will include handling clinical samples from cancer patients, and potentially patients with other diseases.
The candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory experiments using standard techniques and equipment under the direction of an advisor, including operating microfluidic devices, DNA/RNA extraction, Western blotting, ddPCR, molecular cloning, and cell culture. They must also be comfortable handling previously collected blood, plasma, CSF, and saliva in a safe and controlled environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences or relevant work experience, preferably in biology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree is required, and 0-1 year of research and laboratory experience are preferred.
