The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine serves the diagnostic needs of Pakistan through its clinical laboratory services. The department consists of five major sections: Chemical Pathology, Haematology and Transfusion Medicine, Histopathology, Microbiology, and Molecular Pathology.

Key Responsibilities

As a consultant, you will:

  • Provide expertise in diagnostics, focusing on developing new companion diagnostics for various conditions.
  • Educate and mentor students and residents.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with administrative duties.
  • Pursue innovative research activities.
Qualifications and Requirements

You must have:

  • An MBBS degree with FCPS/FRCPath/ American Board certified or equivalent certification in clinical cytogenetics and Molecular genetics /Pathology & equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience to the level of Senior Instructor or equivalent.
  • The ability to share expertise and adapt to new ideas.
  • The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
  • The ability to provide performance feedback and support staff development.
