Senior Tax Associate - Audit & Litigation

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Tax Associate - Audit & Litigation. You will be responsible for coordinating with tax authorities and officers, managing audits and queries, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating with Tax Authorities for the release of monthly sales tax refund claims and annual income tax refund claims.
  • Issuing appeal effects for favorable judgments of appellate fora and rectification orders.
  • Managing various FBR audits, including pre-refund sales tax audit, post-refund sales tax audit, annual sales tax audit, and annual income tax audit.
  • Monitoring withholding income taxes on a regular basis.
  • Collaborating with Tax Lawyers/Consultants to expedite decisions on pending cases before appellate fora.
  • Preparing and filing condonation claims for purchase invoices not paid within the prescribed period on a monthly basis.
  • Overseeing the identification and implementation of improvements to the tax reporting process, including discrepancies identified in prior years' audits.
  • Managing tax-related initiatives by identifying, documenting, and executing tax policy requirements where necessary.
