An Australian accounting and tax firm is expanding its back-office support services in Pakistan and is seeking talented candidates to join our team.

Position Overview

We are looking for an Accounts and Tax Associate to support our Accounts and Tax Senior Executive and Accounts and Tax Assistant Manager in various financial tasks, including:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Assist in financial statement preparation.
  • Process invoices and payroll.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks.
Job Details

The Accounts and Tax Associate will work under the guidance of Senior Accountants or Assistant Managers, playing a critical role in ensuring financial data accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Record daily financial transactions using accounting software.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and ensure timely filing.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
  • Liaise with auditors and provide necessary support during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the senior accountant or manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Onboarding Process
  1. Initial Online Interview: Preliminary discussion with shortlisted candidates.
  2. In-office Assessment: An assessment covering Excel, accounting principles, and written communication.
  3. Final Interview with Partner: Comprehensive final interview with the Partner.
Remuneration & Benefits
  • Salary: Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 80,000.
  • 6 monthly performance bonuses.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Annual increments.
  • 75% reimbursement of ACCA or CA exam fees upon passing.
  • Eid Bonus.
Work Schedule
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 hours per day).
  • Timings: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (PST).
