Financial Bookkeeper

This is a key role within the organization that requires a skilled and experienced accountant to manage a range of financial activities, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to maintain accurate records and prepare financial reports in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Post payments and receipts in the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Process vendor payments and prepare vendor reconciliations, ensuring that all payments are made on time.
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain accurate records of income tax collected and withheld, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit quarterly tax statements in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit monthly PRA returns.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare necessary reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and update the store register, including timely recording of consumption, returns, replacements, and valuation of closing stocks.
- Ensure all documents related to accounts are properly maintained, filed, and kept confidential.
- Perform any other duties related to bookkeeping, reporting, and administration as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Minimum BCom
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Other Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
