Quality Assurance Engineer Role

We are a team of quality assurance professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional results in our fast-paced environment. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to our squads, focusing on testing methodologies, Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure thorough understanding of individual deliverables by reviewing functional and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate Testing Estimates.
  • Facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Execute and evaluate manual and/or automated test cases, reporting test results.
  • Participate in bug triaging meetings with cross-functional team members.
  • Contribute proactively in sprint ceremonies or any ceremonies the squad follows.
Required Qualifications and Characteristics

For this role, we require:

  • A Computer Science degree, equivalent qualification, or practical experience.
  • Minimum 2.5 years and maximum 4 years of experience in QA.
  • Testing certifications ISTQB - CTFL.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Passion for quality delivery and embracing a Quality testing mindset.
  • Solid understanding of QA/Testing technology including SDLC, STLC, and Defect life cycle.
  • Experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java.
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, and importantly, a team player.

Desirable Skills:

  • Practical knowledge and experience of test automation tools: Sofy, BDD, Maestro, JMeter, Postman, Rest-assured, and Selenium.
  • Practical knowledge in CICD pipelines and deployment processes in a cloud-based environment, in addition to tools such as Jenkins and Bitrise.
  • Practical knowledge and experience of distributed version control systems including GIT.
