AI Procurement Specialist Job Description

The primary role of the AI Procurement Specialist is to support the electrical engineering team by identifying and recommending materials, components, and vendors that meet project requirements. This involves ensuring technical compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Electrical Design Team to optimize assembly drawings and reduce processing time.
  • Work closely with Procurement to update Procore cost catalog and assemblies.
  • Analyze and standardize electrical component selection to balance cost, performance, and availability.
  • Review Esticom take-offs and generate a comprehensive BOM and BOQ.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on technical compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assess vendor technical documentation and certifications.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered tools for process improvement and automation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design, procurement, supply chain, or vendor evaluation within the electrical industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP systems (SAP, Procore, Oracle), and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven procurement technologies or experience working with data-driven decision-making tools.
